The Game Changing Watches That You Need For Autumn

It is no secret at all that if I could only wear one accessory for the rest of my life, it would be a watch. Since I got a beautiful, gold designer watch for my 21st birthday, barely a day has gone by that I haven't had one on my wrist and my collection has just grown and grown. If you've been a reader or a follower of Salt and Chic for a while now, you'll have undoubtedly realised that Timex is a brand that I've grown a close bond with over the last few years. Nearly all of my watches are Timex, I got my mum her first Timex watch for her birthday earlier this year and I've come to realise that they are a total failsafe, a classic and trustworthy brand for beautiful, original watches. This Autumn, they have upped their game even further with their TIMEX x PEANUTS collection and as you'll see, this collection snatched my heart as soon as I set eyes on it.

For me, watches can transform an outfit totally. Want to add some bling to an evening dress? Slap on a gold bejewelled watch. Want to make some trousers look smart? Add a plain black leather watch. Want to add some fun and colour to an everyday outfit? Add one of the Timex X Peanuts watches. In this unique collaboration, the classic watch brand is giving a nod to four of the most iconic Peanuts characters that we all know and love, featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus Van Pelt or Lucy, who I'm sporting on my wrist here. When comparing to the rest of the watches in my jewellery box, the Peanuts vibe stands out immediately; I've never seen such a fun, vibrant watch in all of my life and I absolutely love the feel-good vibe that they have going on with their bright colours and cartoon details. 

For me, fashion isn't something that has to be serious all of the time and it's all about expressing yourself. The bright colours, the cartoon characters, the vintage throwback feels and the adorable illustrations all mean that these watches are the perfect way to add some real personality to your Autumn and Winter (and the rest of the year tbh!) wardrobe.

Amazingly, the watches are water-resistant for up to 30 metres, something which clumsy me can always get on board with, and they cost only £59.99, a price point which I think is incredible, particularly when considering the assured quality of Timex watches with the added huge name of Peanuts. I used to be obsessed with Snoopy when I was younger, to the point where I had around seven different stuffed animal toys of him in a whole variety of shapes and sizes so I'm definitely hoping to get my little hands on the red Snoopy watch too.

Last week, Timex held a party down in London to celebrate 160 years of Timex watches, trusted by watch lovers everywhere and I was gutted that I couldn't make it! However, I was in Orlando in Florida so I suppose I can't complain too much...The brand has some amazing things coming our way in future collections and after this collaboration in particular, I can't wait to see where my go-to watch brand is headed to next!
