We all have that one piece in our wardrobe that we have a genuine emotional attachment to don't we? You know the ones. The piece that we've absolutely worn to death, the piece we've avoided putting in the washing basket for longer than we want to admit just so we can wear it again, the piece that when we think of throwing it away, it genuinely hurts us. You're probably thinking about yours right now as you read this and for me, my most loved item of clothing has to be this pair of black skinny jeans.
ROSE BLOUSE: TOPSHOP (similar) / RIPPED SKINNY JEANS: ASOS / *BLACK CALF BOOT: c/o DANIEL FOOTWEAR /
As far as clothes go, I haven't actually had these jeans very long and maybe ordered them from ASOS about a year and a half ago but the day they arrived was the start of a beautiful black denim relationship and if you scroll back through my outfits, I'm sure I'll be found to be wearing these a lot more than is seen as acceptable. I just think that when it comes to jeans, we can all be really picky. It takes us about a thousand try ons, size changes, fit changes, leg and waist changes and probably a minor breakdown before we find the pair that we really love and it only took me about three years to find a black pair to replace my beloved Topshop Leigh jeans that had to be thrown away.
For me, the ASOS Ridley jeans are the perfect fit. They're super skinny without being restrictive, the colour has taken ages to fade and they match literally everything in my wardrobe no matter where I'm going or what I'm doing. I don't think the price point is bad either as no matter how much I'd love to splash out on a really expensive, high quality pair of jeans, I just can't justify it and these come it at under £30 and have lasted me ages. Win win!
The blouse here is another sale buy. Topshop is another store I can't resist buying from in the sales and this was one of the first things in my basket. It's from the reclaimed vintage range so on the back it has a kind of red strap/tie to make it a little bit different and the frilled sleeves and clashing patterns give it the real vintage feel and I love it.
What are your favourite style of jeans?

I think I might have a pair of Ridley Jeans. This post makes me want to have a search for some more because all my jeans seem to be on their last legs!xx

I need to look at these! I always wear Joni jeans from Topshop as I love the high waist - the only problem is that the black dye starts to turn grey after a few washes! xx

Ahh, I love this look. I tend to avoid skinny jeans because they hardly ever fit me right but I'll try these ones!

I used to LOVE the Ridley jeans but I think they changed them about a year ago and they don't fit me properly anymore. This top is super cute too!
ReplyDeleteLove that top!

I've always loved ASOS jeans, although I wish the colour didn't fade so quickly! Love this blouse too, suits you so well! x
