Dressing For Christmas Parties

Halloween is over, November is upon us, the Will Ferrel in Elf memes are out and we are officially in the run up to Christmas. Everyone is now getting excited about the festive season and I'm definitely amongst them. October, November and December are my favourite months of the year without a shadow of a doubt, thanks to the amazing, festive atmosphere that's constantly around. My local shopping centre already has it's famous Christmas decorations up (I was internally screaming with excitement when I saw!) and I'm thinking about Christmas style, in particular what I'm going to wear for any festive parties and this outfit right here hits the nail on the head for me.

*BLACK ANIMAL PRINT CULOTTE JUMPSUIT, *SILVER FOIL SIDE SPLIT TEE: c/o NOBODY'S CHILD / *GUNMETAL BOOTS: c/o KURT GEIGER / *SILVER LEATHER BRACELET: c/o LOLA AND GRACE / CHOKER: PRIMARK

I talked about one of my new favourite brands Nobody's Child in yesterday's blog post and here we have some more new additions from them. This culotte jumpsuit is right up my street. Simple black but with subtle detailing. If you look closely, you'll see the jumpsuit has a metallic animal print pattern and a tie waist, making it not only bang on trend but perfect for winter with the subtle metallics. I've chosen to layer it with a silver metallic tee, again from Nobody's Child, just to dress it down a little bit. Don't get me wrong I love dressing up but my style is more smart causal, dressy but not too dressy and the tee just gives it that something extra and subtly transforms the entire look.

My first thought was to pair this with my super glittery, crazy. statement, chunky heels but then I, of course, reached for my ankle boots. I do apologise about how much I've been wearing these recently but they have never been off my feet and I think they're a nice alternative to the usual "party shoe". I'm definitely a boot kinda gal anyway so I'd much prefer to wear these at a party than some strappy sandals or heels and I can honestly say they're my most worn shoe at the moment and thanks to the metallic finish and super chic style, they're absolutely perfect for getting through the winter.

I'm not sure if you know but Nobody's Child has recently been made available as a concession at none other than Topshop, a personal favourite of mine being this Star Culotte Jumpsuit, meaning you can shop them if you're shopping at Topshop (which we all are to be honest!) so make sure you check them out at Topshop here.

Watch out for some more posts on what to wear for the Christmas parties coming soon!
