So it's nearly the end of September and no one wants to be the first to say it but...Christmas is on the way. Yes, I know it's still three months away and yes, I know nobody wants to even think of the C-
word but let's face it - it'll be here before we know it. Every year, I start my Christmas shopping in October and I do so for a few reasons. For one, it stops any last minute panic buying of stuff that no one really wants. If you go and do your shopping on Christmas Eve I guarantee you'll probably just pick up the first thing you see and it won't be anywhere near as good as if you'd put some thought into it. Secondly, it's easier on the purse strings. Christmas feels so much more expensive if you have to bulk buy everything at the beginning of November; buying gifts across the three months means that you can buy things either when you find that perfect gift or when you can afford it. Finally, it means you're organised. I always take pleasure in watching everyone rush around mid-December looking for presents when I know mine have all been wrapped and ready to go for two weeks (insert smug face here).
Anyway, I've put together some of my favourite gift sets that are currently available to buy to get the Christmas stash started and plus, even if you are a Christmas-hater and never want to start your shopping, these bits are great for a birthday gift too. I love knowing people who have birthdays near December because there's always so much more to buy isn't there?!
COWSHED GORGEOUS COW GIFT SET / BOMB COSMETICS BATH BOMB GIFT SET / CATH KIDSTON ESSENTIAL TRAVEL GIFT SET / LIPSY HEART PERFUME GIFT SET / OLIVIA BURTON DUSTY PINK AND GREY GIFT SET / RADOX GIFT SET / ROGER AND GALLET SOAP SET / TWIN CHAMPAGNE GIFT SET / ABSOLUT VODKA GIFT SET
Okay so one of my favourite, favourite things here is the Olivia Burton watch set. Oh em gee would you just look at those two pretties?! I actually think the price on this is great too considering you're getting two OB watches in a lovely lil gift box too so I think any gal who's into her accessories would love this one. There's obviously the more "typical" gifts too like the Radox set and the bath bomb set from Bomb Cosmetics but I always think the little miniature drink sets from Just Miniatures are super cute too. They also personalise certain bottles and miniatures too which is obviously a nice touch for a special gift and I think Dads and Grandads in particular may be a fan of these! Toiletries and beauty products are another obvious one but they're really a failsafe and although I haven't included a photo of them, these Lipsy perfumes are such good value, especially considering that they're from a name like Lipsy!
Do you start your Christmas shopping early or are you a last minute rusher?

This has got to be the best advice in the world! It's so true though, shopping early saves you a lot of money and time too. I'm so excited for Christmas!

These are gorgeous gift ideas Amy! I totally agree, I always try and do my festive shopping as early as possible - maybe it's partly because I adore Christmas but as you said, it definitely allows you to put more thought into choosing the perfect present xx

I'm a Christmas lover all year round so I totally agree the earlier you start shopping the better (although this year I've been far to busy I haven't even began to think about present ideas) - I find I enjoy it so much more and the presents I buy have much more meaning when I start to at least think about it around now and not leave it all till December!
ReplyDeleteAlso love these gift sets - the perfume by Lipsy sounds brilliant and you can never go wrong with a good few bath bombs/toiletries!

I love Christmas but can't stand Christmas shopping so I tend to start at this time of year. I've already picked up little things like bath sets, candles etc. I love the OB watch set! That's now found it's way onto my own list :)

I completely agree! My goal is to have 90% of my christmas shopping done in October so I've just got a couple of bits to get in November and everything wrapped way ahead of time.. whether or not this has always gone to plan for me is a separate issue!
