What I Wore To LFW

As you'll have probably noticed, animal print is going to be everywhere AW16 and I for one am not complaining. I love a bit of animal print (the trashier the better okay???) and after filling my wardrobe with animal print shoes, animal print bags and animal print coats, my next step had to be an animal print shirt. Well, technically this is a jacket/blazer but I broke the rules a lil bit and wore nothing but a bralet underneath. I love pyjama shirts and think this blazer easily passes off as one, creating a chic but cool transitional look to get us through September before Autumn really kicks in.

ANIMAL PRINT JACKET: TOPSHOP / *MELISSA x CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL COMPANY LIMITED EDITION SATCHEL / GUCCI LOAFERS: NET-A-PORTER / RIPPED SKINNY JEANS: ASOS / *THORN ROSE GOLD CHOKER: c/o BY ALONA

This is the outfit I wore to my first trip to London Fashion Week last week. I'll have a separate post up all about that later but let me tell you this was the hardest outfit decision of my life. I always feel desperately uncool no matter what but I thought maybe I could be a little less uncool in this leopard get up and although I did wear a black top underneath as it was a bit nippy and my Gucci shoes ripped my toe open, I think I did an okay job of styling myself as if I was on trend right?!

SHOP THE LOOK

Like so many other people, lately I've had an obsession with chokers. I just can't stop buying them because I think that they just transform an outfit and give it a totally different look, even if it's a completely simple design. This simply stunning piece is from By Alona, a brand stocking beautiful jewellery designed by Alona Shelemy, a new London based designer. Her pieces are that little bit different from the typical jewellery you'll find scattered around and as she mixes and matches different metals and styles, you can guarantee that each design is totally unique. I absolutely adore this rose gold piece. The rose and thorn design mean that it's not like the typical chokers you'll find on the high street and although it looks really luxurious, it doesn't lose its edge. I can tell this is going to become one of my most worn jewellery pieces for sure.

Finally, I've got to mention my amazing satchel. The 11 inch satchel is a limited edition piece in collaboration with Brazilian brand Melissa, adding a twist onto the classic Cambridge Satchel we all know and love. The vegan friendly bag is made from PVC meaning it's easy to clean, easy to use as it can be used in all weathers and easy to wear because it's so versatile. I needed a good staple black bag so I went for the black but the red would add such a pop to an outfit! There's also a holographic one that is so dreamy - it looks like it could belong to a mermaid!
