My First London Fashion Week: Shows, Lounges and The #HenryinHolland Reveal

As a northerner, getting down to London is very expensive. I'm talking upwards of £150 for train tickets, not to mention to cost of the hotel as it's a three hour journey so isn't something you want to do every morning and evening. This is why I've never been to London Fashion Week before. I've had invites to shows and lounges but thanks to living basically the opposite end of the country, I've never been able to go. This year, Virgin Trains were kind enough to provide me with some first class tickets down to London so for the first time ever, I was able to attend LFW like a *real fashion blogger* oh em gee. I also went down the Thursday before fashion week began for the H! By Henry Holland launch party so get ready to see the photos we took in Amsterdam earlier this year!

THE H! BY HENRY HOLLAND LAUNCH PARTY AND THE BIG REVEAL!

You'll probably remember that I went over to Amsterdam with Debenhams, Urban Decay and Henry Holland back in July with some uber blogging babes to be part of Henry's Girl Tribe and shoot his AW16 collection for H! By Henry Holland. We had a blast while we were there and the final images were finally revealed at the launch party on the eve of Fashion Week at the H! by Henry Holland pop up event in Boxpark so I can finally share them with you guys! It was so great to be re-united with the Girl Tribe and see their photos too (they all look banging fyi) and also have a few cocktails at Boxpark, cameras flashing, music playing and everything else you'd imagine at a fashion week launch party. You may spot us in this video on the Independent too - when I saw myself I admit I may have shouted "oh my god it's ME!!" I love the photo of me on the steps in Amsterdam - werkin' it! 

Also I'm obsessed with H! by Henry Holland AW16 collection - it's fun, bright and the mix of patterns and prints is amazing. Imma have to get my hands on that checked tartan shirt!

BLOGGER HANGOUTS & LOUNGES

After getting my train down again on Sunday morning, I headed to The Blogger Programme LFW Hangout and oh my days was it dreamy! Think neon lights, rails of clothes, yummy food, pink balloons and some absolutely amazing brands, including Avon, Billion Dollar Smile and Magnitone. I got my nails done, got my hair curled by the wonderful Iveta from Ena Salon, who curled my hair exactly how I like it (and p.s. I'm very specific as in curled and styled but messy and undone lol!) It was the perfect place to chill and escape from the hectic streets of Fashion Week and there were some right babes there too!

My next stop was the Look Fantastic Blogger Lounge where I met some fabulous blogging babes including The Fashion Hackr and Duchess of Fashion and got set to decorating some cupcakes. For someone who is not artistic in the slightest, I think mine turned out okay right?! The class was led by The Cocoa Box and it was so much fun and of course, the lounge was yet another super Instagrammable setting. I also came away with a super cool goodie bag, full of beauty goodies that I definitely needed!

MY FIRST LONDON FASHION WEEK SHOW - CIMONE SS16

I finished off my day at fashion week with my first ever LFW show. I have been to catwalk shows before but never at LFW before and we all know that makes it that much better! The show was CIMONE's second collection and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Over-exaggerated shapes, a mix of prints, cut outs, oversized fits, some simple palettes with bold and bright prints and patterns, splashes of paint and embellishment...The show was truly a feast for the eyes and there was so much to look on the pieces, the detail being beyond amazing. A personal favourite is the first red dress with the hole punches!
