Everyone knows just how much of a staple a crisp, clean shirt can be in your wardrobe and GANT are the perfect brand for giving that staple a bit of an update for AW16. There's nothing quite like a shirt 'n' jeans look that just looks effortlessly chic for every occasion and although I usually automatically think of the white shirt when I think of a wardrobe staple, this black shirt gives a little bit of a twist. It's feminine but inspired by the traditional masculine shirt, creating a bit of an androgynous look that I absolutely laaav, especially when you're looking for a staple like this!

I've stayed classic with my styling of the shirt though and gone for ripped skinny jeans, a mini chic bag (which is my absolute fav even though I can literally only fit my phone and my lipstick in) and then I've teamed it with a pair of statement sandals. However, although I love the entire outfit together, what I really love is how the shirt looks when it's only buttoned half way. It looks completely different to how it did when I buttoned it all up and it looks so effortless while transforming the entire outfit to something a little bit different, a little bit smarter and a little bit more in line with the current season (I mean, it is still August after all!)
In Autumn I'm definitely going to be layering the shirt when the weather gets colder. Last year, I love layering sweatshirts and shirts with roll neck tops - warm and super cool! I'll definitely be layering this with a white one, perhaps even a bright one if I want to go all out!
How would you style the classic GANT shirt?
