As I get older I start thinking more and more about my dream home. It's definitely a sign of "adulting" but in all truth I've always loved home decor, whether it's been decorating my room or creating my dream home on the Sims (I was one of those who spent hours at the start of my game making my house perfect!). Nowadays Pinterest and other bloggers are such a huge source of home inspo for me and every time someone uploads a flat tour or a homeware haul I could just die with envy. I long for the clean white walls, the small, cute personal items, the quotes on the walls....Get me my own house ASAP - can I PR request a London flat?
I find myself dreaming about my ideal home all the time. I want squishy pillows everywhere, I want it to look "thrown together" and relaxed but not too thrown together and relaxed, I want it simple but I want it personal with just the right amount of wall decor and ornaments. I want fresh flowers and cute little trinkets with photos everywhere and cute little pieces making it "home". Too specific? Maybe but everyone can dream right!? Even if these "Pinterestable" homes aren't realistic, there are ways we can add these little bits of luxury to our own homes and even our own bedrooms so I've put together a few of my favourite home accessories that can easily transform a room into something more dreamworthy.
I love little quirky accessories for the home and the Georg Jensen pieces I've featured here must have a place in my home at some point. I'm absolutely obsessed with the cobra candleabra and the wall clock; the pieces are simple but chic and are enough to add a bit of luxury to any room at all, even if you don't want to spend a lot on the rest of the room.
The New Look Hanging Light Bulb and the Alphabet Lightbox are another two of my favourite things here. I've seen the lightboxes all over social media recently and for good reason; they're super quirky and because a lot of them can be personalised they're a fab way to make a house a home, as cheesy as that sounds!
And finally I must give a mention to the simply glorious Urban Outfitters stool. I love the vintage inspired design - my grandma used to have stools like this in her living room so I'd love to have one like this in my own home. Think of it in the corner next to a coffee table piled with books and a few cute pillows strewn on top - my idea of heaven.
What would you ideal blogger home be?

I definitely agree that it's the little touches that make a space "home"! That copper light bulb is gorgeous <3

I can't wait to have the freedom to decorate my own house, I have visions of white and pastel pinks however we shall see, I am such a sentimental hoarder so it will probably end up just full of junk! xo
ReplyDeleteI need this home in my life! ASAP!
