How To Wear Statement Boots

If there's one thing I love, it's a good pair of statement ankle boots. I just can't resist them, whether it's a statement pattern, a statement material or colour or a statement heel just like this wonderful pair from EGO. Statement heels have been having a bit of a moment on boots recently, mostly with the perspex heel (which I LOVED) but now I think it's time for the metallic, artsy heel to have a moment. The detail on this pair of shoes is just wonderful and you can see by the photos how amazing the gold looks against the brown, creating the perfect pair of boots to see us through the transitional period between summer and autumn and right the way through the colder weather.

Statement boots are actually much easier to wear than you think. Here, I've colour coordinated mine with my white floaty dress (one of my favourite buys of the summer I think!) and my suede jacket with a brown choker. It's a simple outfit but I think with statement boots, sometimes it's best to let them do all the talking, especially if your style is a bit understated and usually simple. However, don't be frightened about going bold even with statement ankle boots. Clash them, wear them with prints, make a statement with the entire outfit and not just the boots. It's all about confidence. I'd love to wear these with a 60s style a-line floral dress, bold make up and lots of gold jewellery! Ego is absolutely jam packed with the best statement shoes, with many of them being all about the glitz and glam for A/W16. I definitely need to update my statement shoe wardrobe I think!
