70s Holiday Style: The Girl In The Bowler Hat

Having read Amy's blog for a long long time now, I jumped at the chance at posting a guest blog for her whilst she's off on her travels (Me? Jealous? Noooo). So, who am I? Well, hello! I'm Amy (another one, I know I know, super confusing) and I'm a fellow North East Blogger based over at thegirlinthebowlerhat.com who posts everything from outfit posts (awkward poses included) and beauty chats to interiors inspo and my favourite local haunts. And yes, I really am always wearing a hat.

Jumpsuit - M&S (via Charity Shop)
Hat - ASOS
Bag - H&M
Shoes - Primark
Sunglasses - Primark

Being a fashion journalism student, I'm all about personal style posts, and with the 60s and 70s heavily influencing what I wear, I thought I'd share with you today these outfit photographs I shot whilst on holiday a month or so ago. Being a student on a serious budget, I'm always scouring for bargain finds in my local charity shops. And one of my favourite finds has to be this jumpsuit which I found, brand new with tags, in my size, for only £4. Crazy right?!

I never in a million years thought I'd find myself wearing a jumpsuit, and although I did have to really shorten the legs on this one (#petitepeopleproblems) I absolutely love it. From its paisley print to its wide legs, it's super flattering and is that perfect throw-on piece for summer nights. Deciding to go all out on the 70s vibes, I couldn't help but pair this outfit with these round sunglasses and my favourite go-to Fedora that I wear almost every day. And of course, I can't forget about this suede fringe bag that I found in the sale section of my local H&M (what can I say, I love a good bargain!). It fits all of the necessities (y'know, handfuls of lip products and all of the snacks) and goes with almost every thing I own, so what more can a girl ask for?

Make sure you check out Amy's absolutely bloody brilliant blog The Girl In The Bowler Hat for some seriously awesome personal style and lifestyle posts! Amy's social links are below too!

Stay tuned all of this week for more guest posts from some of my favourite bloggers! Don't forget to follow me on Instagram (@saltandchic) and add me on Snapchat (username a_daawg) to see what I'm getting up to in Croatia right now!
