Working A Neck Scarf

When I first saw the age old neck tie coming back into fashion, I'll admit that my first thought was "nope." I thought of cringy eighties outfits and cowboys and I honestly thought that I would never, ever get into it. Like most trends though, the more I saw the neck tie around the more I liked it until I finally came across the scarf for me, in the form of this lil pink cutie from Bershka in London a few weeks ago. I admit, I probably bought it on a whim and we all know how those purchases can turn out - hands up who's ever impulsively bought something and then never ever worn it?! I don't think this is going to be one of those though and I'm already loving accessorising my simpler outfits with it!

When I first dyed my hair copper, I thought I'd never be able to wear any kind of pink again but as you'll have realised, I've loved pink even more, especially the baby pink of the scarf. Even though it's really subtle, it really contrasts with my hair but compliments it at the same time - who said redheads can't wear pink?! Also, note the simply amazing mules from 4th and Reckless. Are they not the perfect heels for summer? They may look sweet and girly but in actual fact, I think pink shoes can be so grungy. Imagine them teamed with all black and some killer bright lipstick! 

Again, like in most of my outfits, I'm all about the subtle, elegant jewellery and today it's all about the earrings. These are vintage style from Swedish brand Lily and Rose and I'm absolutely in love with them. Timeless, elegant, classy and understated, these pearl babies make the perfect jewellery box addition for daytime glam or night time sass, matching my Pandora loves down to a tee.
