Lazy Posh Cooking: Garlic and Chilli King Prawns

When it comes to cooking I am incredibly lazy and don't really like complicated recipes that takes ages, so it's only natural that Very Lazy has been one of my favourite brands when it comes to cooking easy lunches and snacks. I'm obsessed with the Very Lazy Garlic and put it in just about everything, from chilli to pasta to sauce I just can't get enough of the stuff. It just makes cooking that much easier with everything pre-chopped, ready to go and not messy in the slightest and let's be honest, mess is one of the worst things about cooking! Anyway this is one of my favourite easy but rather posh recipes. I always order garlic king prawns as a starter when I go out for food and they're always super expensive, most of the time coming in at around £7 for one starter of five prawns. This recipe only takes 10 minutes all in too and it's my favourite for an easy but satisfying Saturday night in dish!

It's so easy I don't even need to do it step by step. All you need is a packed of peeled prawns, a pot of Very Lazy Garlic, a pot of Very Lazy Chillies and a bigggg wad of butter. Yup, it's indulgent, it's certainly not fat free but it's bloody worth it! All you need to do is melt a few big table spoons of butter in a frying pan with some of the Very Lazy Garlic. You'll want enough butter to cook the prawns and make a lovely garlic and chilli butter to pour on top so don't be shy! I also like to use absolutely loads of garlic but you can add as much or as little as you want.

Add a little bit of the Very Lazy Chillies depending on how hot you want it and then once it's melted, add the prawns and fry until they're cooked. Usually king prawns take around 5-8 minutes to cook but don't overdo it as they'll go chewy and tough!

Once they're cooked that is literally it! Add them to a pretty bowl, pour some of the garlic and chilli butter on top and serve with a few slices of crusty bread. Mm mm mmmmmm.

I'll be trying out a recipe with the Very Lazy Ginger in the next few weeks too so watch out for that! What's your favourite easy but posh recipe?
