Dress of The Month

You know those clothing brands that you know you can count on when you're looking for that perfect piece? Well for me, Boohoo is definitely one of those brands and they have been my saviour over this summer, whether it's been for bikinis, accessories or dresses and this dress of the month gets a huge thumbs up from me! Boohoo challenged me and a few other bloggers to style up the same dress in our own individual way and after opting for the black version, I decided to get my grunge on and layer it with my favourite white shirt.

All too often I think people forget that dresses are so much more versatile than they appear. I mean, of course they look great styled simply with a pair of sandals or boots but I like to mix it up a little bit and layer them to give a more individual look. I teamed this lace black midi dress with an open white shirt, a simple black choker and some good ol' socks and sandals and I absolutely love how it looks. The white shirt gives a bit of a summery feel to the dress and let's be honest, the UK has probably had its week of summer now so we need something to keep us a little bit warmer and I'm just not ready to get the winter coats out just yet! I love the 90s grunge vibe this entire look gives off but equally, the dress will look fab with a pair of trainers and a jacket. See, told you dresses were more versatile than you thought!

The watch is probably my favourite accessory of the moment. It's from Elie Beaumont, a brand that has fast become one of favs over this past year thanks to their simple, beautiful designs. This watch here is from the Oxford range and I'm just obsessed. The design is so clean and simple but thanks to the bright, alternative colours of the strap, they're individual watches too and what's more they cost less than £50 which is rare for a watch of such high quality these days!

How would you style Boohoo's dress of the month? Make sure you check out their range of dresses to find your wardrobe staple dress!
