Braving The British Summer

I think by now we've all accepted that we aren't getting a summer. Every morning I look outside hoping to see bright sunny skies I'm disappointed when I'm instead greeted with gale force winds, overcast skies and the same temperatures we had in December. *cries into laptop* However, that does not mean we can't brave the chill with some pretty summer dresses, especially when it's for a smart occasion and this floral number from Quiz is just the ticket for making it feel at least a little bit like summer.

This is one of those dresses that absolutely screams summer and there's no way I'm ruining a pretty floral lil dress like this with dreaded black tights, something which have been banished to the back of my wardrobe until at least November. I love the cut-out detailing around the neckline and I know that I can always count on Quiz for classy, unique pieces for any occasion. I'm a big fan of necklaces, neck detailing and what-not so I love the high neck too as it just makes the dress that little bit different. Plus, the colouring of the dress looks amazing with blogger fav rose gold and the shoes from ASOS compliment the pinks in the dress perfectly. 

Yup, it was worth freezing my little bum off to wear this beauty of a summer dress! I must talk about the shoes (again!) though because I am honestly in love with them. So many brands have really upped their shoe game recently which is great for my summer wardrobe but not so great for my bank balance! I do love a good piece of statement footwear so it's no surprise the rose gold Cinderella shoes have become a fav of mine! They're one of those pairs of shoes that get compliments everywhere I go and the small heel and comfy fit makes them perfect for every day wear!
