Pyjama shirts are back this season with a vengeance and it's true that they're not the easiest thing to style. I mean, how do you style a pyjama-type top without looking like you've just rolled out of bed? It's actually surprisingly easy, even when you've got a top that genuinely looks like it good be a rather nice bed shirt and for me it's all about going tight on the bottom with some killer footwear and statement sunnies, combos which I'm all about right now!
COLOUR BLOCK PYJAMA BLOUSE, RIDLEY JEANS IN PETUNIA BLUE: ASOS / *MINI MICHAEL KORS SELMA BAG: c/o FARFETCH / SUNGLASSES: H&M / *GREY PATENT PERSPEX HEEL BOOTS: c/o 4TH AND RECKLESS
Because pyjama shirts are quite loose, I always think they look better with something a bit tighter on the bottom so as not to swamp your frame. This ASOS shirt isn't too pyjama-ish (new adjective right there!) so it's not that hard to style but still I think that some baggier jeans or trousers would have ruined it's effortless look. It looks chic, laid-back and I think the fact that Karl said "you look like someone famous dressed like that" speaks for itself don't you?!
The boots are what really add the extra chic to the pyjama blouse though. As you'll have probably seen by now, I have a little bit of an obsession with my patent black boots with the perspex heels and I just knew I had to get my hands on the grey pair. These beauties are from 4th and Reckless and I can guarantee that if you visit their website you will fall in love with at least five pairs of shoes. Not only are these babies beautiful, they come in at £35 which is such a great price considering how expensive they look. I swear, every time I wear perspex heels like this people stare at them continuously and that is no joke! They make such a statement and are so easy to wear, they're great to have in your wardrobe.
Team with a big pair of sunnies and you and your pyjama shirt are good to go! This is definitely one of my go-to staples for this summer and you can get this blue blocked pyjama shirt from ASOS right now!
