When it comes to going out outfits, I love a good ol' LBD. I just don't think you can beat black as a smart colour as it's so versatile and works in so many different ways. There isn't just one style of little black dress and it could mean anything from a mini black skater dress to a floor length maxi gown to a tight bodycon number like this one here. The thing about little black dresses is that they can be anything you want them to be; smart casual, sexy, chic, glamorous, classy and anything else that may tickle your fancy. This one is from Quiz, a brand I know we can always count on when it comes to going out dresses no matter what your style. What's more, this one costs just £24.99 which I think is simply amazing for a dress as beautiful as this one - a lil bit cheeky mixed with just the right amount of sass.
*BLACK MESH PANEL MIDI DRESS: c/o QUIZ / *BLACK TASSEL BAG: c/o NEW LOOK / *MARIE CUT OUT COURT SHOES: c/o DAISY STREET
I originally thought to pair this dress with black shoes but then these nude babies came along. They're from Daisy Street, a brand which has fast become one of my favourites of late and I think they look perfect against the black. They're just enough of a contrast to make the look a little bit more unconventional, especially when teamed with the nude lipstick and simple jewellery too. I'm actually planning to wear these heels for my graduation later this month which may or may not be a good idea. On the plus side, they're simply beautiful shoes and are guaranteed to make my outfit look banging but on the downside, I manage to fall over in flat shoes, never mind 5 inch heels whilst also trying to wear a long graduation gown. Also, aren't you more likely to fall over when there're people watching? It's just sod's law isn't it?!
Also, these shoes cost less than £30 meaning that although this outfit looks absolutely amazing even for a really posh occasion, all in it costs less than £70 as the bag cost around £15 from New Look. How great is that?! I love proving that you can look just as great without spending the money. Sure, I love to splash out on certain things and it is nice to treat yourself but you don't have to at all!
