The Art of Dressing Like A Toddler

DENIM DUNGAREE DRESS: BOOHOO / PRINTED SHIRT: ZARA / *BLACK ANKLE BOOTS, *WHITE BACKPACK: c/o NEW LOOK / AMY WATCH: MICHAEL KORS

Do you ever look in the mirror and think "I probably would have worn this when I was 6"? Yup, me too but some days you just gotta release your inner child right? I love cute lil dresses like this and adorable ice cream prints and am I going to stop wearing them just because I look 15 years younger than I actually am? No sir, no I am not.

I wore this outfit when I was visiting my Grandma in hospital last week and I think I knew I'd gone back in the decades a little bit thanks to the man visiting his wife who was in the bed opposite my Grandma. I said to my Grandma I wouldn't be visiting on the Sunday and he shouted over "why aren't you coming on Sunday? You don't have school on a Sunday!" School?! I haven't been to school in six years! I didn't complain though - he gave me a Werthers Original when he gave one to my 9 year old sister so who's really winning here?

Anyway I've seen loads of denim pinafores like this around recently but this one from Boohoo is the cheapest and best quality one I've seen. It'll be great for taking on my upcoming city breaks but in the winter, won't it look cute with a black jumper and some tights? The top was a recent Zara purchase and I'm seriously loving it. The graphic print is absolutely adorable and has a real vintage feel to it, especially when teamed with something like the pinafore. So if you want to look 15 years younger than your real age, you don't need to spend a load on expensive anti-aging stuff - just whack on a pinafore dress and a graphic print and you'll be mistaken for a 10 year old before you know it!
