EMBROIDERED SMOCK DRESS, METAL TRIM FEDORA: TOPSHOP / *BLACK TASSEL BAG: c/o ASOS / *PATENT POINTED ANKLE BOOTS (similar): c/o NEW LOOK / *WATCH: c/o DANIEL WELLINGTON
On Wednesdays we wear black. Seriously, in this outfit I feel like I've walked straight out of the cast of American Horror Story's Coven and I am loving it. I say this all the time but all black outfits are a go-to for just about everyone whether you're part of the blogosphere or not; isn't there something just so classic about an all black ensemble? A lot of the time, all black can be made to look sleek and classy but I think this one has more of a modern goth vibe, with the Victorian style embroidery and oversized hat. The dress isn't actually my usually style. I mean, I love the embroidery and the white contrast but smock dresses aren't usually something Im drawn to but I love how flattering this one is. Roll on the end of winter so I can rock it without the dreaded black tights! If you want to rock the Victorian style dress but want something a little bit brighter for the ever approaching summer, Topshop also have a khaki embroidered smock dress, which is just as beautiful as this one.
I'm so glad at how long my hair is getting too, woop woop! *does a little dance* It's taken a while but it's finally getting to a length at which I'm happy with it. Anyone who's gone for the chop before will know the struggle of the regret that you feel when you want those luscious long locks back and it is bloody painful. It's not quite there yet but it's so so so close and I can finally wear my beloved floppy hat without looking like an egg.
