The Spring Coat

LEOPARD PRINT COAT, RIPPED SKINNY JEANS: ASOS / MICHAEL KORS SELMA BAG /  BOXY CROPPED KHAKI JUMPER: TOPSHOP / BUCKLE ANKLE BOOTS: ZARA

I think I need help in the shopping department. If I'm not buying black ankle boots, I'm buying coats and if I'm not buying coats, I'm buying black ankle boots.  I think if I buy any more of either of them, my wardrobe might actually explode and I'll just be swimming in beautiful faux fur and leather. This leopard print beauty is something I just could not resist though. I'm going to New York in a couple of weeks (eeeeek I might just explode with excitment!) and I obviously wanted needed a new coat to go with considering how cold it's going to be. I'll be taking my trusty faux fur coat too but this one will go perfectly over cosy jumpers and look super stylish at the same time. I've always loved a bitta leopard print, especially when it's a more toned down, muted colour theme like this one. It's the perfect grunge addition to your wardrobe.

At this time of year, buying new things can be tricky business. You want something that's going to be warm enough to see you through the rest of February but also be wearable when Spring finally shows its face in a few weeks. That's why I opted for this style of coat instead of the faux fur I'd usually go for in a leopard coat. It's thick enough to keep me nice and toasty when layered with a heavy jumper and a scarf but equally it'll see me through the Spring showers over the top of lighter dressers or jeans and tees. The perfect purchase for this time of year.

I've put together a couple of other perfect SS16 coats below in case leopard print ain't your thang so just turn off your ad blocker to see them!

What will you be wearing for SS16?

  5. I agree with you - buying things during this time of year is so difficult because you know you're probably not going to wear certain things until the end of year. So it's like, what do I buy? But this coat does look perfect for Spring time - your whole outfit does and everything is so so on point.

    In love with the coat!

Leopard print isn't usually my thing but because it's quite a subtle pattern, it's extremely wearable. Love, love, love!
