Metallic Pinks

I feel a bit like a fairy in this outfit and I love it. This shade of pink is set to be huge for SS16 and I'm starting my collection early as I've mentioned before that I'm loving pinks recently. The catwalks were absolutely full of romantic, soft colours like this and feminine outfits teamed with edgy footwear so this look is right on the money for this season's trends. The pleats in the skirt are another thing I've been loving recently. I usually opt for mini skirts over a midi as I find them more flattering on my small frame but when I purchased the orange version of this skirt in December, I just fell in love with the pleats, so much so that I went and ordered this metallic pink version too. The thing I love the most about this style is that it might seem really old fashioned and frumpy at first, but it can be styled up in so many different ways. I styled my orange one in quite a grungy outfit whereas this one looks great teamed with the light shades and subtle make up. Of course, I couldn't be too girly - chunky black ankle boots were a must! 

Speaking of the boots, these babies are a new addition. Yep, that's right. I went and bought another pair of black ankle boots. I'm sure I'm not alone in this addiction and no matter how many pairs I seem to accumulate, I just can't stop buying more because I needed a pair with buckles or one that has a slightly smaller heel than the identical pair I already own. Anyway, how could I resist this pair from Zara when they were reduced to just £20?! Zara is one of my favourite place to look at dreamy shoes but sometimes they're a little bit on the pricey side so y'know, I had to have this pair for that price. Plus these will be absolutely perfect for my trip to New York in a couple of weeks!
