My, oh my, oh my. Introducing, the jeans of dreams. Recently, I've been trying to brand out a bit with my jeans as I have way too many varieties of the good ol' super skinny jeans in my wardrobe (there's a post coming about my denim problems soon so watch this space!) and so I thought I'd try my hand at styling this beautiful pair of straight jeans from Topshop. Usually, when you think of jeans, you just think of the classic blue, mid wash, standard style and too many of us stay stuck in this rut, only spicing it up with a couple of rips in the knee. I wanted to add something a bit more exciting to my SS16 wardrobe and these jeans definitely do that. The floral embroidery might put some people off at first as they give the illusion of being hard to style but that is definitely not the case. Because the embroidery is only at the top, the rest of the jeans remain plain so they don't lose the versatility and plus, the colours are so wide ranging featuring, pinks, reds, and greens, meaning that the pattern really compliments virtually any other colour and can really set an outfit off.
I know it's still January and is therefore bloody freezing outside, but I like to plan ahead and I know that this is going to be the perfect transitional outfit for when the winter finally starts to turn to spring and the floral embroidery will take me right through the summer too. I don't know about anyone else but I can't wait until it's just warm enough to leave the house without 300 layers of vest tops on underneath your jumper (or even tights underneath your jeans...) Don't get me wrong, I love wearing big chunky coats and jumpers but I can't bloody wait for the temperature to go up just a little bit so we don't all freeze to death! Us bloggers are sick of turning blue every time we do a shoot!
