A couple of years ago, I developed an obsession with mom jeans and I absolutely wore the pair in my wardrobe to death. They became one of those things that I sickened myself of and I was gutted. You know when you just wear something too much and then one day you go to put them on and just think ".....nope." I decided to give the mom style another try when I laid eyes on this pair from Ark as they were a little bit different from the style I had before. They're a little bit more tapered, meaning they're much more flattering and not too much outside of my skinny jeans comfort zone but it was the wash that really caught my eye. The lighter shade of indigo in the vintage wash is really beautiful and isn't like any other pair I have in my jeans drawer so they were such a welcome addition and after styling them with my now very over worn metallic brogues, I may have rediscovered for love for the mom style.
Since I dyed my hair the fiery copper colour I'd always wanted, I've been loving pink more and more. Don't ask me why because it clashes magnificently with my ginger nut but I do love a good clash so really it was the only natural way for me to go. I'm not really a "girly" person and I'm not a fan of the bright, really feminine pinks on my skin tone but I think dusty shades like this jumper are just absolutely beautiful. They're still rather feminine but with a bit of a grunge effect thanks to the more toned down shade (but of course it still clashes amazingly against my copper!). I also find that lighter skin tones like mine can really pull of this light shade. I used to steer clear of lighter shades as I thought they washed me out but warm colours like this really don't, especially if they're teamed with deeper shades like the vintage wash of the jeans.
Speaking of hair, mine is finally starting to grow woop! I haven't cut anything off the length in such a long time and I'm finally starting to feel like it's now an okay length. I've still got a long way to go before I'm completely happy with both the length and the shade but hey, it's progress!
