Cinderella

Now that January is over and done with, it's time to start looking ahead and that means it's time to start thinking about the big events that will undoubtedly be happening this summer. Whether it's a school prom, a graduation, a wedding, a Christening or anything else we better get our dress hunting heads on as we all know how hard it can be to find that perfect formal dress!

Frock and Frill are making the hunt that bit easier thanks to their amazing range of beautiful dresses, all of which can be found on their online boutique. The dresses are feminine and classy with a real vintage feel and each one is hand-stitched and embellished, with Frock and Frill supporting ethical work meaning that their dresses really are worth the splurge.

I went for this absolutely stunning powder blue number and although this is definitely not a colour or style I would usually go for (my prom dress was black and slinky lol!), I'm absolutely in love with it. First of all, I feel like a real life princess. More specifically, I feel like Cinderella going to the ball and that is most definitely a good thing. The colour is perfect for the summer months and the pastel blue gives the dress a really feminine, romantic feel, finished off perfectly with the intricate embellishment on the front of the dress. It really is a dress fit for a summer occasion and more importantly, fit for a princess *insert crown emoji*

The original price of this dress is £95, which is a really great price anyway when you consider the detailing and the detail in its design, but it is currently in the sale for £47.50 which is an absolute steal for a prom or wedding guest dress. If you are looking for a dress on a budget but still want the beauty of a pricey one, Frock and Frill have a full section on their site for dresses under £50 which is packed with beautiful designs and styles for everyone. However, I think my favourite part of the website is the Gatsby collection. Having read and seen the film of the Great Gatsby, these dresses honestly will make you look like a 1920s queen, fresh from the infamous house parties of Jay Gatsby. You know the style; dramatic, totally over the top but totally fabulous.

What do you love for those special summer occasions?

  12. This dress is so beatiful. I love the colour and the embellishment which makes it stand out even more to me. Pastels are colours that I love yet surprisingly I don't have much pastels in my wardrobe at all! Even better, I love that it's a maxi and also has little sleeves which is what I always look for in dresses! You look great! :D
