The Best of The Christmas Bouquets

I love a good bunch of flowers at any time of year but Christmas themed bouquets just win my heart. Flowers set off a room beautifully and when you can get them festive themed to match your Christmas decorations, we enter a whole new league of bouquets and these are two of my favourites.

The bouquet pictured above is the Mistletoe bouquet from Blossoming Gifts, featuring blue eryngium, white chrysanthemum and lilac roses with the addition of the silver Christmas birch. I chose this one as it's a little bit different to what you'd expect from a Christmas bouquet and is a bit more "icy" if you know what I mean. I love the pale colour theme with the lilac and the purples and it reminds me of a cold, icy morning with the soft shades. I think my favourite part of the bouquet is the addition of the silver birch, making it just that little bit more fabulous, adding a bit of Christmas glitz while still keeping it within the pale colour theme, creating more of a modern, unconventional bunch of flowers for Christmas. I've had a gift hamper from Blossoming Gifts before and absolutely loved it so I was really excited to try some of their flowers, which is what they're known for, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. They're definitely a failsafe when it comes to special occasions!

The bouquet comes in at £24.99 but you can get a whopping 33% off this bunch and all others on Blossoming Gifts, excluding the Flowers By Post range, using the code BGIFTS33.

Now onto the more traditional, but no less beautiful, Christmas bouquet. This one is the Christmas Ruby Bouquet from Appleyard London, containing red oriental lilies, red roses, purple eustoma and black calla lilies. This bouquet is absolutely stunning and is a real Christmas bunch with the predominantly red theme. Like the bouquet above, this one has the addition of some beautiful festive glitz but this time it's with some stunning gold leaves, really setting off the reds and festive colours, making it that perfect Christmassy gift which will likely match anyone's Christmas decorations. One of the things I love about Appleyard London is their philosophy. They pick their suppliers with the environment in mind and create their bouquets using as little packaging as possible, something which I really admire in this day and age. They also offer lovely little Christmas hampers too with everything from wine to chocolate to coffee so if you're still Christmas shopping, be sure to check them out!

Again you can get a huge 33% off on Appleyard London (on everything except flowers by post range) by using the code BLOG33 so get a move on with those gifts!

I've done a few Christmas gift ideas on the blog over the past few weeks and I think flowers and hampers are an absolute failsafe for anyone. You can choose where they are to be delivered to and on what day so you can get the gifts delivered to the special person's door as a Christmas surprise, or of course you can do a me and think "you've done so well getting through the Christmas season without crying over the amount you have to do" and treat yourself to a bunch of flowers. We definitely deserve them!

  1. The Ruby bouquet has to be my favourite of the two, but both look gorgeous. I always love it when you can say every flower compliments each other in the bouquet!
