Haunted

*SLEEVELESS BLAZER: c/o NEW LOOK / PINSTRIPE PAPER BAG TROUSERS, ROLL NECK TOP (similar): TOPSHOP / POINTED SHOES: ASOS / MICHAEL KORS CROSS BODY BAG / *ROSE QUARTZ NECKLACE: c/o HAPPINESS BOUTIQUE / *ROSIE ROSE GOLD WATCH: c/o DAISY DIXON

You may have guessed that the title of this post is related to the very eerie, misty background. It looks like I'm stood at the entrance to a haunted house or something! Doesn't the weather know that it's December now and Halloween was two months ago?! The lighting has been playing havoc with my blog photos! Anyway this outfit is very navy themed. I didn't realise just how much navy was actually in the outfit until it came to editing the photos but navy is great so really, no biggie! I love this kind of outfit as it's so smart casual it could just as easily be worn for an interview as a day out shopping.

For me, the key piece of this outfit has got to be the pinstripe trousers. I'm all over the snazzy trousers at the moment and this pair are just so flattering with the thin pinstripes, the paper bag loose fit and the tie waist. I did opt for the petite pair as at 5"4 the ordinary length trousers of this shape are just that little bit too long so the petite pair fit me much better.

The accessories are something else I love about this. The Michael Kors bag just speaks for itself so I'll only briefly mention that (and of course, the super ridiculous but super sassy pom pom). As for the rose gold watch, what's a classic chic outfit without a simple watch to go with it? This one is from Daisy Dixon, a brand offering a huge variety of chic watches, from the simple ones like this one to the embellished statement styles. Plus they're really affordable too, which is always a plus! I knew I had to have this one as, being a cliche blogger, rose gold is a favourite of mine and I think it sets this off perfectly.

The necklace is a beauty from Happiness Boutique which I have talked about before so I'll only say that you can get 10% off with the code "saltandchic"

  12. Looooooove the fog/mist in the background, adds to the already awesome pictures! And gosh, love a bit of navy, me. I don't know what it is about it that I love, but it's just a nice change from black, isn't it?

  13. Your navy New Look sleeveless blazer and snazzy pinstripe trousers contrast nicely with your pretty white rollneck top and the snow in the background. Love the pom pom. Even though I've always found fog to be comforting it does seem a touch more eerie to me when there's snow and slush on the ground. Your red hair and lipstick cause your photos to be much prettier and seem less haunting to me.
