The #NEBloggerAwards

So Tuesday was the North East Blogger Awards ceremony, which took place in the absolutely gorgeous Bonbar in Newcastle. Salt and Chic was shortlisted in the category for Best InstaBlogger and although I didn't win, I had such a great night with some amazing blogging gals! First off, the venue was fab. I'd never been in Bonbar before but it was lovely, with a huge bar in the centre of the room, giving us complimentary prosecco and nibbles. I want some of those big letters for my room as well - look how bloody cool they look!

I met up with lovely Laura from Girl Talk With Laura, who was also shortlisted for Best InstaBlogger, and we settled ourselves into a booth near the front, sipping our drinks and checking out the adorable "Blogger" necklace which all finalists were treated to! We also met up with some other blogger babes including Amy from The Girl in the Bowler Hat, Helen from The Love Cats Inc and Lucy from Dinosaur Dances, whose blogs you should definitely be following! House of Savannah were offering hand and neck massages in the powder room with make up touches but we spent the majority of our time popping in and out of the photo booth which was provided by FaceBooth. I'm a sucker for anything like that so we just kept going back and back to get more lil fun pictures! There were little cupcakes provided by Greggs (of course, I mean it is the North East!) and we got to meet so many bloggers, some of whom we'd met before and some of whom we hadn't. I love events like this because it's such a great opportunity to meet up with old blogging friends, whether you've met in real life before or just on Twitter - it's such a great community!

Overall the Blogger Awards was a fantastic night and huge congrats to everyone who won!
