The Original Accessory

Watches are something that hold a special place in my jewellery box. I don't wear that much jewellery but I wear a watch every single day and my wrist feels naked without one. Timex watches are right up my street. They're simple, classic and uber cool with leather straps and big, sleek faces, they can finish off any outfit, no matter how simple and that's exactly what ASOS challenged me to do. 

The outfit I chose to pair the watch with is, when you break it down, very simple but I find these can often be the best outfits. The lace high necked top is something I've been wanting for a good while now as it's the perfect modern twist on the seventies style top with the subtle high neck and long sleeves. Paired with ripped jeans and ankle boots, the outfit is simple but chic and with outfits like this, it really is the accessories that finish the looks off.

Keeping the rest of the outfit simple means the watch is the main focus so the only accessories I added were the watch, the belt and a couple of rings. The watch really stands out and as you can see on the full length photos, you can see it even from a distance away, showing just how much it adds to the whole outfit. I love how the watch is has quite a large face, adding a touch of masculinity to an otherwise rather feminine outfit, thanks to the lace. 

I have quite the watch collection now and this one has become an important part of it. I have a lot of gold watches but the brown strap ones I have are all silver and I love the way the gold compliments the brown leather of this watch.
