Favourites: The Black Edition

As I'm sure you're all aware, Black Friday is looming (27th November for your diaries!). Now, I'm not sure when this craze started in the UK, but recently Black Friday has been absolutely huge, with gigantic discounts on all kinds of things, including electricals. I'm not one to risk being trampled by leaving the house on Black Friday but I'll certainly be on my laptop, looking for Christmas present deals with a cuppa! That is, before I go to work in retail myself, a day which I'm expecting to get a bit crazy!

To celebrate Black Friday, TNT kindly sent me the surprise little black box, filled with black goodies. In the box I got some sachets of coffee, a black rose, a black lipstick and nail polish, dark chocolate, a moleskine notebook and black pen and finally some yummy black sweets. The perfect little box to get you into the spirit for Black Friday madness! I will say that the chocolate was so dark, I tricked my eight year old sister into eating some and she cried. Oooooops! My favourite thing out of the box has got to be the black nail polish; it's an essential for any day when you just can't decide what colour to go with and really, you can never go wrong with a bit of black!

So along with the box, TNT challenged me to write a blog post about my own favourite black items and lets face it, it was going to be easy to round up five of my favourite black things as we all know that bloggers love a bit of black!

So first, we've got my trusty black chelsea ankle boots. I seriously couldn't live without black boots and I don't think you can ever have too many. They go with just about any outfit and are easy to just chuck on and look laid-back cool even on your laziest days. They are the loves of my life.

Next up, we've got the *Hugo Boss Noir Perfume. This has fast become my signature scent and although I did originally plan to save it for evenings out, I couldn't resist wearing it for everyday. The scent is really strong and quite dark smelling itself, something which I love in perfumes, and the bottle is the perfect shape to slide into your handbag for a quick spritz.

The *blk. water obviously had to get a mention. I've seen photos of this floating around Tumblr for ages now so when they sent me some over I was chuffed to finally get to try it and.....it tastes exactly like water. I was really surprised because I honestly expected it to taste like coke when it was about to hit my mouth but it is exactly like water, with extra added nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Plus, it looks so frickin' cool!

I also had to give black tea a mention. Since I started drinking green tea a few years ago, I now have my breakfast tea stronger than ever, sometimes even having it black. A lot of people are so surprised when I say I do have it black but I just love the taste of tea in general and hate the taste of milk so yup, if you ever make me a cuppa, when I say a teeny tiny drop of milk, I mean a teeny tiny drop of milk! 

Finally, the black product we all know and love - MAC lipsticks. Well, the packaging is black so that still counts right? I don't buy much else from MAC but their lipsticks cannot be beaten. The shade range, the lasting power, the consistency....They are dreamy and we all know it. My favourite shades at the minute are Velvet Teddy (typical, I know!) and Mehr but I'm in desperate need of a new one!
