Everyone has those few products in their make up bag that they just couldn't do without and although my "holy grail" products do change quite a lot, these few things have been my firm favourites for the past few weeks. Firstly, all three of these absolutely adorable products are from The Vintage Cosmetics Company. I've seen these products all over the blogosphere but have never actually gotten around to trying anything from the brand, but my oh my, how blooming cute are they?!
My favourite of the trio has got to be the *Slanted Tweezers. Usually, tweezers are just so freakin dull. Plain silver metal thar aren't pleasing to the eye at all. Not these tweezers. The floral pattern is absolutely adorable and they don't look really awful sitting in my brush pot either. Tweezers are just one of those things that are absolutely essential for us girls and although they may not be the most exciting products, we can certainly jazz them up a bit with a bit of a vntage twist like these ones.
I only just mentioned a few posts ago that I hadn't really used eyelash curlers before as I just didn't see the point in them but since I started using them, I feel like they really do help prep your eyelashes for the mascara, giving them just a bit of an extra curl. These *Eyelash Curlers from the Vintage Cosmetics Company are rose gold (yep the most stylish metal finish of the moment) and like with the patterned tweezers, it just jazzes up an otherwise quite plain make up tool.
The final thing I got to try from The Vintage Cosmetics Company was the *Lip Brush. Again, like the eyelash curlers, lip brushes aren't something I've really been a user of. I'm the kind of person who literally just slaps lipstick on straight from the tube. I know, I know, that's terrible behaviour from a blogger right there. However, I did try applying my lippy with this brush and it honestly made so much of a difference; I could make my lips look fuller without the risk of looking like a clown due to the precision the brush allows. It did take so much more time and effort though so it's not something I use every day but I've been using it for special occassions and night outings.
The final two essentials of the minute of mine are make up products rather than tools. Karl got me the Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray for my birthday earlier in the month and although I had tried it before, it was something I hadn't gotten around to repurchasing. Having combination skin, this has been a saviour when it comes to stopping make up sliding off your face! I like to keep it in my bag and just have a quick spritz of it through the day to keep my make up looking fresh. It's essential!
The Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot primer has been a bit of new addition to my make collection as I've always used Rimmel's primer. However, I did hear a few horror stories on Twitter about that very primer so I thought I'd give this one a whirl. It turns out, I absolutely love it. It's quite thick so may not be suitable for those who like to let their skin breathe a little bit but thanks to my combination skin, I need quite a thick base to keep my make up actually on my face. It's very silky and although it is a bit pricier than the rimmel one, it's worth the extra couple of quid.
What are your make up essentials at the minute?

The primer by S&G just sounds lovely, I really want to try it as it's a bit more affordable than my current Laura Mercier one which I'm rationing!
