The Sunday Post: Win A Sandwich Maker!

*SANDWICH MAKER: c/o CUISINART

As a student, I'm always on the lookout for quick, easy and cheap meals. The last thing I want after a long day of lectures and reading is to get home and slave away making a complicated meal (not that I could even if I did want to - I'm a terrible cook!) so nifty gadgets like sandwich makers are a godsend during the university term. This one is from Cuisinart and they are giving you the chance to win your very own sandwich maker worth £50!

As I mentioned above, I'm an absolutely terrible cook and although I'll try anything if it's been made for me in a restaurant or by my mum, I'm the opposite when it comes to cooking and like to play it safe. So although the sandwich maker can be used to make anything from an omelette to calzone, I kept it simple and made my favourite ever toastie - brie and cranberry sauce on sunflower and chia seed bread. Simple? Yes. Easy? Yes. Delicious? Hell yes. And that's what I love about toasties; they're cheap and easy but just as yummy and filling as any other meal and you can switch it up and put whatever you want in.

So if you want to try my extremely easy but yummy toastie or try something more adventurous like a flatbread or a pastry, you could do by entering my competition!  Cuisinart are giving one lucky winner a sandwich maker of their own in the My Awesome Toastie Challenge.

Good luck and get entering!
