A New Addition To The Family

I hope you're all ready for this. Whether you're a "dog person" or a "cat person" (I myself am an "animal person" - I just love animals!) I'm 99.99999% sure you will want a puppy after you the latest addition to our household. Meet Harry, the nine week old jackhuahua puppy. *insert all the heart eye emojis*.

Harry joined our household just three days ago after what was meant to be a joke text to my mum. I saw the photos of him saying he was looking for a new home and sent them to her saying "shall we get a new friend for Luna?" and two days later we were on our way to pick him up. I wish that happened every time I jokingly asked for something I thought I wasn't going to get!! Anyway he had been bought from breeder by a guy who couldn't keep him as his children were too young to understand just how careful you have to be with tiny puppies so he was looking for a new home. How could we resist him?!

Of course he's named Harry after Harry Potter so now we have Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood (no I'm not ashamed my HP obsession has brought me this far) but the real question was - how did they get on?! At first I'll admit, Luna hated him which was no surprise considering she hates literally every single dog to walk this planet other than our whippet Charlie so at first she was extremely wary of him and growled at him a hell of a lot. Being a crazy puppy though he just didn't care and followed her around the house for hours until she finally gave in and started playing with him. Now she's even gone as far as to share her toy burger with him and let me tell you that does not happen! Charlie is a bit more unsure of what to make of him but he's a lot older and a lot bigger so I guess he's more of an annoyance to him!

Anyway Harry has settled in spectacularly and our house now boasts three dogs and two cats, one of which is extremely old, grumpy and very poorly. He has a number of strokes every week and it's so sad watching him deteriorate but he's lived a long and happy life (seriously, he must be about 100).
