Paint Strokes

*BLACK AND WHITE STRIPED PAINT STROKES JACKET: c/o GIRLS ON FILM / *CHELSEA BOOTS: c/o JONES BOOTMAKER / ORANGE TOP (similar), LEATHER LOOK MINI SKIRT: ASOS /  *SILVER CRESCENT MOON NECKLACE: c/o MOON TIDE JEWELLERY / *SMALL LEOPARD PRINT BAG: c/o PAUL'S BOUTIQUE

Everyone loves a bit of monochrome but sometimes I have an urge to spice it up a bit with a dramatic splash of colour and what better way to do this than with bright, bright orange? I love orange. It's such a flattering colour for all skin tones from the darkest to the lightest and isn't it the best transitional colour on the planet?

Despite the dramatic orange, the coat from Girls on Film is what really steals the show in this outfit. It's the perfect light jacket for Autumn but I'm planning to layer it with high necked jumpers as the weather gets a bit chillier. Plus it's stripes. Everyone knows I love a bit of a stripe and probably own way to many classic Breton style stripes so I love it when I find a bit of an alternative like the paint strokes in this one.

Finally it's the moon necklace that really finishes the whole look off - it's so simple but I can't get over just how eye catching it is. Moon Tide jewellery was founded last May in 2014 to fill the gap in the market which was in desperate need of filling with affordable, bohemian jewellery and the brand is perfect for this. All of the pieces are right up my street using natural materials like shells, semi-precious stones and crystals and best of all they are so affordable for what they are as my moon necklace is fantastic quality. Plus you can customise a lot of the necklaces, choosing the chain style and length and even whether it's bronze or silver. Yep I can see myself becoming addicted to the store....
