My #AAAinCroatia Lookbook

So we've reached the final instalment of #AAAinCroatia posts...*sobs*. ASOS were kind enough to kit us out with outfits for our trip so it's safe to say my suitcase was full to the brim of brand new holiday clothes that I couldn't resist showing you all. Of course, everyone knows I have a soft spot for a bit of new clobber!

TEXTURED STRIPE KIMONO DRESS, FAR AWAY LEATHER LACE UP SANDALS (sold out, similar here)

Oversized dresses are my best friend on holiday and this one is absolutely perfect for a night time. It's made of a really light floaty material and the pattern means it's great to dress up with these lace up sandals and sunnies for on a night but could double up as a bikini cover up the next day, saving suitcase space (and we all know how valuable that is!). The lace up sandals have been one of my favourite wardrobe additions of the summer but they are an absolute pain to keep up on my legs! So I have a little tip if anyone has the same problem - tit tape. Yep you heard me right. Just a little bit of the clear tape over the top of the laces at the back kept them up all night. Life. Saver.

Seventies has really been my thing this season and I still can't get enough of it, especially when it's a bit of a subtle twist like the bell sleeves on this playsuit. The pattern got so many compliments as it's such a flattering colour for all skin tones, even my super pale one! So much love for this piece.

A must have for every holiday wardrobe is a pair of denim shorts. I'll admit last year I really struggled to find a pair I really liked but I fell in love with this pair as soon as I tried them on. The fit is really flattering on my small frame and they're super comfy! Denim shorts are so versatile I don't think anyone should go on holiday without them! The kimono was a lifesaver on this day as it was so hot that without it my ghostly pale skin would have absolutely fried. It saved my shoulders from coming back looking like two tomatoes and looked super stylish at the same time - a double whammy if there ever was one! Of course I had to take a trusty hat with me and this fedora was perfect. It was barely off my head!

This was yet another super versatile outfit; the playsuit was quite sheer and completely backless meaning it could easily be dressed up for a night time but I chose to dress it down with my trusty Slydes and fedora. The pattern is quite similar to the first dress in that the colours are quite neutral but with the gold accents from the Slydes it creates an entirely different outfit. I cannot rave about the Slydes enough to be honest; I'd never really heard much of them before the trip but as soon as I slipped them onto my feet I fell in love. They're so lightweight it feels like you're not wearing shoes and they are so. fricking. comfortable. Say goodbye to the traditional holiday blisters we all know and do not love!

Is this not the most festival ready outfit you've ever seen? Granted it may not be quite festival ready without a pair of wellies and a poncho when you think of a festival in England but a festival in Croatia is quite a different scene! The lace up shorts are so edgy and combined with the hand crochet top this is a holiday outfit with a grungy twist. I know for sure this outfit is going to be coming to Egypt with me in September and as soon as England gets a bit of sun this top is coming out.

HOLIDAY HALTER TOP IN STRIPE, BLACK STAR SLYDES (sold out, similar here)

This is possibly my favourite outfit of the whole trip and of course, it has stripes! Stripes are my favourite, favourite, favourite ever thing so I couldn't go on holiday without them! The top is completely backless too so looked fab with a monochrome patterned bikini underneath and this outfit is a prime example of re-wearing pieces from the night before with the lace up shorts. The Slydes make it just that little bit edgier with the star pattern. This is what I wore to go to Krka National Park and the Slydes were a godsend. When we got in the water the stones were really slippy and quite sharp so I left them on to go for the swim. They were fantastic and after a long swim and clambering over rocks the next day, they came out without a scratch on them. Perfect!

So there we have it guys, the end of my Croatia series! I really hoped you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing the posts and sharing the trip with you, it was such an experience! Another huge thank you to Croatia Wave, ASOS and Slydes - you guys rock!
