First things first, I am stressed (yes I did underline that word to give it more emphasis!!). Exams are just around the corner and it isn't easy balancing the absolute boat load of revision I have to do with two jobs, my blog and also trying to have some sort of a life at the same time. I'm sure a lot of you fellow students can share my pain at this time of year - the time of year where we all wish we could just wrap ourselves into a big roll of happiness in our duvets and wait for it all to be over (wishful thinking ey?!) Anyway, to try and remind myself that it isn't all exam doom and gloom, today I thought I'd do a little post about what's made me happy these past few weeks!
Game of Thrones is back on TV. YES. Need I say more? I've been waiting for the return of Game of Thrones since I finished the fourth book a couple of months ago and didn't want to start the next one until I'd watched the next season. Karl and I always like to celebrate new GoT episodes with a pizza and "TV night" and let me tell you, an hours break with lot's of cheesy goodness and Westeros drama is good for your wellbeing!!
Karl booked us a few days away in Chester for after my exams as a little anniversary treat. We've been together for six whole years gone the 17th of April - saaaay whuuuuuut?! We're planning to go to Chester Zoo and into the town for a little nosey too - sometimes I forget about places I want to visit here in the UK and it'll be nice to get away for a few days without the hassle of airports and luggage weight restrictions! Trust me, I cannot wait.
Luna sums up exactly how I feel right now!
I had a little bit of a wardrobe revamp.... What can I say? When I'm stressed out I online shop and we all know how hard it is to resist the urge of a 20% student discount or free next delivery offer right?! I had a good few of the "oops I slipped and accidentally put my card details into ASOS" a few times of the last few weeks and lets be honest, who can blame me? How else am I supposed to get through exam season?!
I've been lucky enough to work with a few of my favourite brands on my blog, including Urban Outfitters and Unidays and that makes me unbelievably proud of my little blog! When I first started blogging I used to look at those with a lot of followers and be in awe at the brands they got to work with and now I'm getting to work with those same brands too! Hard work really does pay off.
I reached 10,000 followers on Instagram and 3,000 on Twitter and I am unbelievably happy with that. Who would have thought that many people would be interested in my little life and my blog?! Thank you so much for all of your support! p.s. if you aren't already following me on instagram you can do so HERE - I'd be over the blimmin' moon!
What's made you happy recently? If anyone else is studying for looming exams and deadlines I wish you the best of luck - we'll get through this!

Ahhh I am stuck in this predicament too - although I don't have exams, just a dissertation and two large projects to hand in over the next three weeks :( Good luck with all your exams! At least you have Chester to look forward to to give you a little motivation :) and congrats on hitting such huge milestones. Your blog is fabulous.. It's one of the first I ever read and I always love coming back and seeing your outfits and what you've been up to :) xx

My boyfriend and I watch GoT together too, it's pretty much the highlight of my Monday! They're deviating so much from the books, but it's really exciting to see where they're taking the story.

Ahhh you're visiting my hometown! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for nice places to eat there try The Botanist, Sergio's and Dutton's Wine Bar. There's also The Chef's Table which is supposed to be incredible but I haven't tried eating there yet. Bar wise, try Gin Rickey's, Prohibition, Fiesta Havanna's and Kukoo :)
If the weather is nice, Grosvenor Park is really lovely to walk around and you can walk down by the River Dee that way as well :) xo
