The Sunday Post: Some Food Therapy

In the midst of exam season, you've gotta give yourself a break and what better way to do that than with some Uh-mazzzzing Italian food?! After my trusts and equity exam the other day (*shudders*) Karl and I headed up to Sambucas restaurant in Durham for some exam comfort food and it didn't disappoint. I love the interior of the place; it's so warm and welcoming with ivy and cosy decor making it so relaxing. I came here on my 21st birthday which was....interesting. Turns out if they know it's your birthday they play music really loud (I think it was "Sexy and I Know It"!), ring a bell to get the whole restaurant's attention and put you on a chair to dance. Embarrassing but also kinda great! Anyway this time thankfully wasn't my birthday so Karl and I simply enjoyed the food.

Italian is my favourite type of food and it is without a doubt worth every single cheesy calorie. The food at Sambuca's is of a really high quality but for such a great price too which is always a plus sign in my eyes! It's just outside of the city centre so I think we always tend to forget about it when deciding where to eat but I'm definitely going to go more often. Seriously just look at those garlic king prawns!
