It's that time of year again where all of us students are bogged down with revision, revision and more revision thanks to the impending doom of more exams. My exams started this week and I know many more people will be starting theirs this week so wishing you all the best of luck! Anyway today's Sunday Post is all about the balancing act. Exams and deadlines are hard enough as it whether you're doing your A Levels or University exams but that becomes even harder when you're trying to balance that with running a blog or holding down a part time job! It can get very stressful so these are just my little tips for keeping yourself sane through this!
1. Get yourself into a routine. It doesn't have to be really strict or anything like that but getting yourself into a little routine can be really helpful. For example, I like to revise between 11am and 6pm and try to have little breaks throughout the day. If I'm at work on the night then I go and do that and if I'm off I do my blogging or try and join in with twitter chats. It really helps to know where you're at!
2. Reserve yourself some "me" time: Whether it's something as small as walking your dog or having a full day off to go to the cinema, me time is essential. It can be more detrimental to your studying if you let it completely take over your life and it will impact on your productivity.
3. Make the most of your time. As hard as it is, try not to procrastinate. I know I know, we all do it. I'll find myself sorting out my wardrobe when I should be doing revision or just simply doing nothing. I only feel worse when I realise how much I've still got to do after the procrastination. If you get things done first then you won't feel bad about it later when you lie in bed and think "oh dear" (we've all been there.)
4. Blog in bulk: At this time of year, it's easy to panic that you haven't got any blog posts written or photos taken and you begin to worry you're getting behind. That's where the magic schedule button comes in. I try and take a lot of my photos together and schedule my posts about a week in advance at this time of year - it really takes the pressure off and you know you can study without the lingering worry of getting behind.
5. Don't worry. I can remember when I was doing my A Levels just how much pressure is on to get those grades you need to get into university. Now looking back, I don't know what I was worried about. Exams are nerve wracking and I know what it feels like to panic that you haven't done enough to get your university place. Just try and remember the quote "it always seems impossible until its done"; I panicked and panicked and panicked during my A Levels and ended up getting two A*s and an A. As long as you do your best and know that you worked as hard as you could, don't ruin your positive attitude by worrying.
6. Keep your finances in check. Being a student can be tough, especially on the bank account. Rent prices and student fees are extortionate these days and you really don't want money to be yet another thing putting pressure on you. If you're just going to university in September you'll probably want to switch to a student bank account. TSB offer a really great one with a fee free overdraft of up to £1500 along with a 5% variable interest on balances up to £500. They also have a 7 day switching rule which makes it super easy to switch over to the student account giving you one less thing to have to think about when the time comes to moving to university. You can read more about their student bank accounts HERE and the seven day switching rule HERE.

This is such a great post! I have only one assignment left to submit now so am feeling a lot better and am starting to relax a little. Blogging in bulk is something I really wish I had done as I feel like my blog content has really slipped over the past three weeks. I just don't have the time! Best of luck with the remainder of your exams hun! xx
