My Favourite Smoothie Recipes

So since Karl got himself a Nutribullet a few weeks ago I have been obsessed with smoothies and I mean obsessed. I've always liked smoothies but only had a little hand blender to make them with and it is absolutely unbelievable just how much smoother and tastier the drinks out of the Nutribullet are. I need to get my own one! Anyway I thought I'd just share with you a few of the recipes that I've been digging the most recently and while they're nothing fancy, they taste damn good! Hopefully I'll be back in a few weeks with some fancier ones after we've experimented a little bit but for now these rather simple ones are just as tasty!

(1) The Pink One

Ingredients: One large banana, a handful of strawberries, a small handful of frozen raspberries, skimmed milk, a squirt of honey.

Remember that rumour that used to go around that if you ate ten bananas in one day you would die? Well I am living proof that is not true as I eat banana after banana after banana (seriously!) and as it is quite a strong flavour in smoothies, this one is one of my favourites. This one may be a simple smoothie, but it's one that virtually everyone will like and by using the milk rather than water it's really creamy and filling. A real winner in my eyes!

 (2) The Yellow One

Ingredients: Mango, pineapple, apple, coconut water

For this one add as much as you feel like of each ingredient. I personally like to add A LOT of mango but this one is qutite a versatile one and tastes kind of tropical thanks to the pineapple. Another variation of this one is to add banana instead of the apple and milk instead of the coconut water for a more milkshake like drink. Mmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it...

(3) The Green One

Ingredients: half a small avocado, a handful of spinach, a handful of kale, two kiwis, a small handful of mango, a squirt of lime, coconut water.

Now this one is a real super food smoothie and while it may not be for everyone, it's definitely got a lot of nutritous ingredients in there! You can really tatse the avocado in this one which is why I add two kiwis to try and balance the taste but I like avocado anyway so it's all good in my eyes! If you don't like avocado so much, try adding a little bit less than the half and add a bit more of another ingredient instead - for me the more lime the better!

So those are my favourite smoothie recipes so far! Leave your favourites below for me to try out!
