Back in the 90s, there wasn't a girl in England who didn't own a mini denim skirt. They were definitely a fashion must have and in my opinion, they are still just as fabulous! I kind of feel like I've just walked out of a 90s high school in this outfit and I love it - the crop top, the distressed denim, the super cool trainers - it's all 90s Clueless style heaven.
I'll admit it, I'm not usually a trainers type of girl - give me a pair of chunky heels any day - but I'll admit the past few months they have been growing on me. These Puma trainers are a much comfier alternative than sandals and really add a sporty cool twist to the outfit. Isn't it baffling just how much changing one thing about an outfit can make it so different? Team this with a pair of black ankle boots and you've got a much grungier look and it's this kind of versatility which makes key pieces such as the skirt so essential to your summer wardrobe.

Love the throwback 90's look! I literally used to own about 10 denim skirts, ha! I had the most amazing ultra distressed one whilst I was at college and it cost me £50 and my whole family were like what the hell - especially my grandma that I'd paid so much for such an item that was shredded to pieces! I would totally wear it again now though but I kept it in my mums loft so pretty sure she's taken the opportunity to get rid!
