The New Hair

If you have been following my blog for a while you will have undoubtedly have noticed my very blonde hair, which I have had since being 16. Before that I had dark purple/black hair and before that blonde again so I have never actually had brown hair since my natural colour (which was well over 10 years ago!! Damn am I that old?!) Anyway I had been getting sick of my hair for a good few months and wanted to do something drastic so out came the brown hair dye. At first, I'll admit I wasn't sure; the colour didn't take too well and I was left with a kind of mousy colour that was really no colour (everyone knows that dreaded shade all too well right?). So I enrolled Karl as chief hair dye-er as I'm waay too clumsy to even think about doing it myself and one Casting Creme Gloss from Loreal in the shade Chestnut Honey later (and lots of shouting and kerfuffle!) I love my new coppery brown shade, so much so that I wonder now why I didn't take the step sooner. The condition of my hair has improved already and I just feel a lot more comfortable with this new do. Granted, I still get a shock when I look in the mirror and I do look even paler than before if that is possible but I think that this shade will be sticking around for a while!
